” I believe thatwomen are tenacious and persistent and have a strong push and a clear vision of what we want and at the same time we can transmit with warmth a way of working”.
What drove you to start your own business?
I have always been very independent. For some time I worked for other people but always in the search of doing what I was passionate about. Following my passion I started working with a designer, there I learnt all about my present activity and at the same time I studied Fashion Design at college.
After some time I started on my own. It took me time and effort to look for workshops and clients that were up to the quality product I wanted to create. It was a long search but by then I had no doubt that working independently was the best for my personality because in that way I could work freely and at my own pace with no restraints to my creativity. I have been working independently at my own company for 19 years now.
How do you think being a woman makes a difference when leading a project?
We women are tenacious and persistent, we have a strong push and a clear vision of what we want and at the same time we can transmit with warmth a way of working.
I can be warm and understanding with my workers, most of them are men in my workshops and I try to have empathy when explaining to them the work to be done considering the difficulties they can have when making the product. We all try to work in a happy and positive atmosphere always conscious that we are a team.
Which was your most important success?
When each client is happy and content when using my designs.
Which failure made you learn the most?
I don’t believe in failures but in a learning process instead.
As a woman entrepreneur each step I took enlightened me in my path to move on and showed me which was the stone I should not stumble on again. Being a business woman in Argentina certainly makes you being attentive and full aware to take the next right decision.
